Based on the high sense of historical national responsibility and in light of the dangers facing our people and based on the principle saying that rights don’t fall by law of limitations, and on the basis of no recognition of the legitimacy of occupation and for the sake of reinforcing the internal Palestinian front and maintain and protect the national unity and the unity of our people in the homeland and in the Diaspora and in order to confront the Israeli scheme that aims to impose the Israeli solution and to blow up the dream and right of our people in establishing their independent state with full sovereignty; this scheme that the Israeli government intends to execute in the next phase based on concluding the apartheid wall and the Judaization of Jerusalem and expansion of the Israeli settlements and the seizure of the Jordan Valley and the annexation of large areas from the West Bank and blocking the path in front of our people in exercising their right in return.

Dear Friends,

On May 27, 2006 CUPE Ontario (Ontario’s largest Canadian labor union) decided to “Support the international campaign of boycott, divestment and sanctions until Israel meets its obligation to recognize the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to self-determination and fully complies with the precepts of international law, including the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN resolution 194.”

This followed in the wake of other CUPE Ontario actions in recent years, as, for instance, calling for the end of Israeli military action and withdrawal from the occupied territories. The executive of the Canadian Labour Congress, in a 2002 resolution, compared Palestinians in the occupied territories to blacks living under apartheid rule in South Africa.

May 2006, CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees) Ontario approved
resolution 50 supporting "the international campaign of boycott, divestment and sanctions until Israel meets its obligation to recognize the Palestinian people's inalienable right to self-determination and fully complies with the precepts of international law including the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN resolution 194." The Palestinian grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign thanks CUPE Ontario for their support and brave decision to support the unified Palestinian call for the isolation of Apartheid Israel, issued on July 9th 2005.

Novembre 2005- Palestinian teachers have been holding classes in the road outside an Israeli checkpoint in the West Bank city of Hebron in protest at intrusive searches of children going to school. Dozens of the schoolchildren tried to burst through the checkpoint, but soldiers warned them to stop.

Novembre 2005- The European Union is considering renewing political contacts with Palestinian representatives in East Jerusalem and economic assistance to Palestinian institutions in the city. The move comes in response to EU dissatisfaction over Israeli actions such as the building of the separation (APARTHEID) fe nce (WALL), the planned expansion at (ILLEGAL) Ma'aleh Adumim, and the destruction of Palestinian buildings. Yitzhak Herzog, the outgoing Israeli Housing Minister, and Labor party member, approved the construction of 310 housing units, in large settlement blocs in the West Bank. This decision was taken in coordination of the newly elected leader of the Israeli Labor party, Amir Peretz. Israeli online daily, Yedioth Ahronoth, reported on Tuesday, that an Israeli official at the ministry of housing said that this new bid was part of the ministry?s agenda for 2006

Novembre 2005- The Israeli President reached a final agreement yesterday with the Speaker of the Knesset on holding the parliament elections on March 28, 2006. The new party of Sharon which was registered in the name of "National Responsibility" gained additional momentum when Haim Ramon, the leading political figure in the Labor Party, joined the new party. Sharon will have a deadline until December 8, 2005, to appoint new acting ministers without the need to get the approval of the Knesset. Ramon said in a press conference: I join the party of Sharon; this new party is directed to the center and reflects the majority of the people who reject the extremist right and left wings. Close associates to Sharon said he will focus in his campaign on the roadmap which calls for the establishment of a Palestinian state in the context of a peace agreement, but stressed that President Abbas must dismantle t6eh armed groups before Israel starts to honor its commitments in terms of freezing settlements and removing checkpoints. Sharon's Adviser in the election campaign was quoted saying that if Sharon is reelected next spring, he will offer independence for security. He told the British Guardian newspaper that Sharon will not offer the Palestinians all the West Bank lands and that Sharon refused the land for peace principle and will adopt instead the independence for security. He insisted that the land was never the core issue in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

novembre 2005- Palestinian citizen Salah Fayez Ahmad Fuqaha', 20, from the village of Siris, was killed and 12 others were injured during clashes between the Palestinian citizens and Israeli troops which invaded the city of Jenin in the largest military operation which targeted activists and wanted men from Islamic Jihad. The Israeli army said three of their soldiers were injured.

18 july 2005- Monday morning, Israeli military bulldozers uprooted dozens of trees in Shoufa village, south to Avny Hefetz settlement, near the West Bank city of Tulkarem.A local source in the village reported that two military bulldozers uprooted farmlands planted mainly with Olive trees in Khallit al-Sheikh area in order to install a fence and expand the settlement; the farmlands belong to Hannoun family.Suheil al-Salman, head of the National Committee Against the Separation Wall, said that soldiers are annexing Palestinian farmlands in order to expand settlements and construct the Wall directly violating the international resolutions and the advisory decision of the International Court of Justice which considered the Wall illegal. Al-Salman added that the Committee and its advocate will challenge the annexation orders through the Israeli and International courts. Tahseen Hamid member of the Committee of Land Defense in Shoufa said that ‘the Sharon government is trying to win the support of West Bank settlers by giving them more land annexed from the Palestinians”.

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday told the Asharq Alawsat newspaper he will meet with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon again prior to Israel's pullout from the Gaza Strip.

Abbas said preparations are being made for an additional meeting between the two, Abbas told the London-based paper.

"There was agreement on continuing contacts and holding another meeting with the Prime Minister Ariel Sharon after completing preparations that can lead to better results," Abbas told the newspaper in an interview in Libya

RAMALLAH, Palestine, July 6, 2005 (IPC + Agencies) - - The Foreign Minister Dr. Nasser Al Kidwa admitted that Palestinians have failed miserably to take advantage of the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice at The Hague about the illegality of the Israeli Apartheid Wall.



Dr. Al Kidwa said, in a press conference held at the Council of Ministers today in Ramallah, that the Palestinian side, represented by the Palestinian National Authority, civil society institutions and political factions did not benefit from the advisory opinion, which he considered as the most important development in the Palestinian cause since 1967.

FM Al Kidwa announced that an expanded meeting will be organized with the participation of several UN agencies and accredited foreign diplomats to the Palestinian Authority along with non-government organizations in July 11 in Ramallah, as part of a series of activities by the PNA to reactivate the issue of the Apartheid Wall and put it again on the agenda of the international community, on the first anniversary of the ICJ ruling.

The Foreign Minister asserted that the PNA had requested the UN General Assembly to resume its tenth emergency session to follow the implementation of the ICJ's advisory opinion, pointing out that the session entitled "Union for Peace" would be resumed in the next two weeks.

He also noted that the Organization of the Islamic Conference has demanded to postpone the meetings of the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent to deliberate on accepting the Israeli Magen David Adom (David's Red Star) into the international organization.

6, july- Two Palestinian children were injured and four residents arrested Tuesday evening in Qutna village, northwest of Jerusalem, as soldiers fired on and attacked dozens of residents who were attempting to stop the army from bulldozing their farmlands in order to construct the separation Wall. A local source in the village reported that dozens of residents clashed with the soldiers after the military bulldozers started uprooting their farmlands. Soldiers fired live ammunition, seriously injuring Ibrahim Salah Houshiyya, 17, in theleg and Ala’ Ahmad Taha, 16, in the hand. Mohammad Khaled al-Faqeeh, head of the Northwest Jerusalem Governor's Office, said soldiers attacked the residents in the graveyard area and arrested four.The arrested residents were identified as Rafeeq Taha, 24; Murad Yousef, 15; Mousa Abdullah, 26; and Dhia’ al-Sheikh, 27. The Israeli army recently began constructing the wall around Qutna, which is inhibited by 13.000 residents and considered the biggest village in Jerusalem area.
